Donald and Dorothy have been involved in music almost their entire lives. Dorothy played in the string section of many orchestras from grade school through adulthood. Donald was in both band and orchestra during his school years; participating in the brass section. They are both career educators in the Antelope Valley covering both elementary and secondary schools. For many years Donald taught math as a part-time instructor at Antelope Valley College.
Having been a longtime residents of the Antelope Valley and supporters of the music programs, they present this scholarship to selected students attending Antelope Valley College for the upcoming year.
Who can apply
- High School Student attending AVC in the Fall
- Continuing AVC student
- Either full-time or part-time AVC student
- Applicant must play in the Concert Band
- Applicants must audition and interview for award
- Minimum G.P.A. required: 2.5
