The Associated Student Organization is hosting a Poetry Slam as part of the upcoming Language Celebration Month at Antelope Valley College. 

This Poetry Slam invites students to submit their original poems centered around the theme of language. Whether exploring native languages, the power of words, or the ways in which language shape identity and connection, the event provides a platform for students to express their creative voices. 

All submissions must focus on how language affects the individual, offering an opportunity to reflect on the role language plays in both personal and collective experiences. The Poetry Slam allows students to share their unique perspectives, express personal stories, and connect with their peers through the art of literature.

Poetry submissions will be accepted from April 28-May 9.
