UC and CSU Application Workshops

The application filing period for the California State University (CSU) starts October 1st and the University of California  (UC) starts on November 1st. Both the CSU and the UC applications close on NOVEMBER 30th. If you are planning on transferring for Fall, your application must be completed and submitted by the November 30th of the previous year.

The Transfer Center will be having open labs for students who need to complete applications for both the CSU’s and the UC’s. There will be counselors/advisors available during the times of the labs to assist with questions and problems during the application process.

These labs are open to ALL students who are filling out applications to transfer for Fall, if you started and did not complete your application, or have not started at all, we are here to assist you. Please bring the following items:


  • Unofficial Transcripts
  • A current Educational Plan, if accessible
  • A list or an idea of campuses and majors you want to apply to
  • Credit/ATM card for application fees

"Transfer Basics" Workshops


These workshops are available throughout the academic year offering general information on the transfer process, breakdown of the CSU and UC systems, which courses have deadlines to transfer, when and how to apply to a university, taking the correct courses required to transfer, how to improve your chances to be accepted to your university of choice, etc. Students must sign up for these workshops by calling 661.722.6300, extension 6343 or 6338. Walk-ins are welcome pending space.
