Rebecca Fiske

Rebecca Fiske has been with the Antelope Valley Child Development Center for 17 years and has 35 years experience in the early child development field. She was born and raised in Southern California. Rebecca is one of five children and has a fraternal twin brother, as well as being a mother to three. From a young age, Rebecca took an involved interest in the development of the young child, which eventually led her to graduating with a B.A. in Child Adolescence and Family Studies from California State University Bakersfield.

Beginning with a regional occupation program for preschool education, Rebecca has led a fulfilling career fostering the growth of young children. She believes that each child is unique and deserves the utmost respect. Rebecca feels that consistency is key; however, she offers challenges in order for each individual to grow and learn in their own way. She has been described as being innovative, accommodating, passionate, patient, tolerant, nurturing, compassionate, enthusiastic, and benevolent. Rebecca is a member of LAMBDA PI ETA; a national communication association honor society. “A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others” ~Author Unknown~
