Child & Family Education (CFE)
The Child & Family Education Department at Antelope Valley College prepares students to support the development and learning of young children and their families. The program focuses on physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development while exploring how children grow within family, school, and community environments. Students learn to design developmentally appropriate curriculum, support learning through play, and collaborate with families and communities. Coursework combines academic study with hands-on practicum experiences in early childhood education settings.
