Through intentional community engagement and holistic support, the Marauder Promise program empowers students to thrive academically, personally, and professionally within a supportive cohort model—guiding them toward successful degree completion, seamless transfer to four-year institutions, and readiness to enter the workforce
Who is eligible for the Marauder Promise Program?
The following lists the eligibility requirements for the Marauder Promise Program.
- Be a California resident or AB540 Eligible
- Be a first-time student
- Complete FAFSA or CADAA
- Enroll in at least 12 units each full semester
- Complete each semester with a minimum 2.0 GPA and 66.67% SAP
How can I apply for the Marauder Promise Program?
Applications for the Marauder Promise Program will be available in January 2026 and will be due on April 30, 2026.
What are the requirements to be in the Marauder Promise Program?
Below are the requirements:
- Attend the Summer Orientation
- Attend 3 Promise Contacts per semester (1 can be offset with other program contacts)
- Attend 3 Promise Activities per semester (1 can be offset with other program activities)
- 30 units in the first academic year (including summer and intersession) for second year eligibility

No, you need to reach out to the Counseling department to make changes. You can schedule an appointment through your myAVC student portal or call the Counseling Office at (661) 722-6338.
