Prepare to become a certified entry-level wildland firefighter through hands-on training and expert instruction.

Applications are now open for the Spring 2026 session. Courses are scheduled to begin February 9. Attendance at a mandatory orientation is required. To request an interest form and the application, please email lori.gilroy@avc.edu.

Earn certifications through National Wildfire Coordinating Group, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and specialized training from Subject Matter Experts.
