Antelope Valley College students who need help strengthening their scholarship essays will have two opportunities this month to get support through a Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop hosted by the Learning Center and the Marauder Promise Program.
The workshops are designed to help students develop strong personal statements, organize their ideas, and revise essays before scholarship applications are due Feb. 27.
Professors Wendy Rider and Sarah Harano will lead the sessions, offering guidance on writing strategies, editing, and how to craft compelling responses for scholarship prompts.
Workshops will be offered both in person and via Zoom, and all AVC students are welcome to attend.
Upcoming Workshops:
-
Thursday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. in Sage Hall – Room 129
-
Monday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. via Zoom (Password: Workshops)
