Antelope Valley College invites students, faculty and staff to take part in Black Student Success Week (BSSW), April 20–24, a dynamic, campuswide series of events centered on empowerment, community and success.
Throughout the week, participants can explore topics ranging from financial literacy and academic success to creative expression and cultural connection. These events are designed to support and uplift Black student achievement while welcoming the entire campus community.

Engage in powerful statewide conversations on equity, economic mobility and student success.
- APOLLO NIGHT Talent Show + Featured Performance by Funmilola Fagbamila
Funmilola Fagbamila is a Nigerian-American playwright, performance artist and professor whose work explores the intersections of culture and identity. A high-energy evening of talent, storytelling and a special performance of “The Underbelly,” followed by a Q&A.

Sessions on budgeting, investing and planning for the next stage in life.
- Mindfulness & Wellness Experiences
Opportunities to reset, reflect and build sustainable success habits.
