Students wishing to do so may come to the campus Safety office during times of operations and utilize the Safety courtesy phone. Local calls only though. This phone is provided to the campus population at no cost.
Students wishing to do so may come to the campus Safety office during times of operations and utilize the lobby area as a place to sit and relax while awaiting a ride. This lobby will provide those wishing to utilize it with safety and comfort.

The Antelope Valley College safety and security department maintain a campus lost and found.
Lost and found is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Items can be turned in anytime day or night simply by bringing the property to the campus safety office, or giving it to a safety officer.
Items can be picked up from the Safety office Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Remember, proof of identification will be required.
The Antelope Valley College safety and security department is a pro-active department. Our officers are constantly on alert to guard against criminal activity. High visibility and 24 hour patrols ensure all who come onto our campus a great learning environment.
The Antelope Valley College safety and security department has enacted a campus escort program on a 24-hour basis.
If the event a student, employee or visitor wishes an escort to their car, office, classroom or any other location on campus, simply dial 6399 and request the escort. From any payphone, dialing *80. From any cell phone, dial 661.722.6399.
An officer will be dispatched to the requesting parties location and escort the requesting party to their destination. If the request is to your vehicle, our officer will stand by until you safely exit the parking lot.
Calling from Home
In the event you are calling from home and wish an escort from your vehicle to a location on campus, simply contact us at 661.722.6399 and advise us of the following:
- Location you will be arriving in
- Type of vehicle
- Location in which you wish to be escorted to
That’s all it takes. An officer will meet you at the location requested and escort you to your destination.
The AVC Sheriff's Office has portable jump packs that can be used to start vehicles with dead batteries. If you encounter a dead battery, simply call 6399 from any campus phone, *80 from any pay phone, or 661.722.6399 from your cell phone and an officer will be dispatched to your stranded vehicle for assistance. Be prepared to give your name and phone number at the time of the request.
