Alpha Iota

Meetings are held every Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in LH 100.

Alpha Iota is an academic honors society and community service organization based at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California.

The continuing purposes of Alpha Iota are:

1. To foster, promote, maintain, and recognize scholarship by:
   1. Sponsoring and promoting seminars designed to assist college or high school students in scholastic achievement.
   2. Community promotion of the campus and college benefits offered.
   3. Various other means, as the society deems appropriate.
2. To develop programs offering cultural, social, or enrichment experiences as part of the total experience of community college students and the society’s membership.
3. The performance of service activities for the college administration, the faculty, and the student body.
4. To sponsor, promote, support, and perform service activities for the community.
5. To foster and promote the development of leadership, character, and good judgment in the Society’s Membership.
6. To sponsor and participate in activities designed to raise money for the Society’s scholarship, Membership, and service funds.
