In collaboration with AVPH, we invite our campus community to visit the "What Were You Wearing?" display, an awareness initiative that challenges the harmful misconception that clothing causes or contributes to sexual assault.
Through survivor stories and clothing displays, this powerful exhibit reminds us that sexual assault is never caused by what someone was wearing. Responsibility always lies with the person who chooses to cause harm.
Along with the display, information and supportive resources will be available for:
- Individuals who have experienced sexual assault or sexual violence.
- Friends and family members supporting someone who has experienced sexual assault.
- Anyone seeking information about available campus and community resources.
- Those who want to learn how to better support survivors.
Our goal is to create greater awareness, encourage compassionate conversations, challenge victim-blaming, and remind survivors that support and resources are available.
Come Learn. Listen. Support. Help Us Change the Conversation.
Visit the display in the SSV Lobby.
