Student Health Kick Off to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Student Health and Wellness is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness event to provide resources on the disease, flu shots, and on-site MediCal sign ups. 

Attendees are encouraged to wear pink and engage with informative tables featuring representatives from City of Hope, Kaiser Permanente, the American Cancer Society, Antelope Valley Partners for Health, and Student Health and Wellness. 

Take the opportunity to meet with an enrollment specialist from AVPH to apply for Medical. Participants should bring state-issued Identification, proof of income, and a sworn testimonial if they are not currently employed or are living with family. 

Additionally, Kaiser Permanente will be offering free flu shots to both students and staff. 

The event is set to be both informative and encouraging, bringing people together to support the fight against breast cancer.
