Student Development: Associated Student Organization (ASO)
The Associated Student Organization (ASO) of Antelope Valley College is the campus student government. They are a collection of students who are dedicated to coordinating the representation and action of student opinion. Meetings are held to discuss and perform action on issues that affect the student population. ASO supports the students by maintaining and promoting a social, cultural, and educational atmosphere at Antelope Valley College. ASO participates in shared governance committee meetings providing student input and lobbying for the student interest.

- ASO Emergency Grant - Apply for a one-time assistance of up to $500
- To be eligible for an ASO Emergency Grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a current ASO Sticker Holder.
- Due to limited funding, priority may be given to students who have maintained ASO membership for more than one semester.
- ASO Stickers may be purchased with a semester parking permit ($28) or separately through the Cashier's Office in the Student Services Building (SSV) for $10.
- ASO Stickers may be picked up at the ASO Office (T300-G) after purchase.
- Be currently enrolled at Antelope Valley College in:
- At least 3 units during Summer or Winter sessions; or
- At least 6 units during Fall or Spring semesters.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and be in good academic standing.
- Have a current FAFSA or California Dream Act Application on file, if applicable.
- Have completed at least one prior semester of enrollment at Antelope Valley College.
- Be actively pursuing a declared degree, certificate, or transfer objective and demonstrate measurable progress toward completion.
- Submit a completed application and all required supporting documentation.
- Be a current ASO Sticker Holder.
