The Antelope Valley College community is invited to observe Patriot Day on Friday, September 11, 2026, with two opportunities to gather in remembrance and reflection.

The day begins with a Patriot Day Ceremony from 8:30–9:30 a.m. at the Administration Building Flagpole, honoring those who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and recognizing those who rose in service afterward.

AVC will also host a Candlelight Vigil from 6–7 p.m. at the Administration Building Flagpole, providing an opportunity for the campus community to come together in quiet reflection.

Join Antelope Valley College as the campus honors those lost and those who answered the call to serve following the attacks on September 11, 2001. Together, the AVC community remembers the past while reaffirming a commitment to service, resilience, and unity.

No registration is required. All students, employees, and community members are welcome.
