EOPS would like to thank our Superintendent President, Jennifer Zellet, CalWORKS, STAR, Puente, Dreamers, our faculty, staff and all students who attended this event.
EOPS FRIENDSGIVING BRUNCH – NOV 2022
Thank you to all of our amazing EOPS & CARE students who came out to the EOPS Friendsgiving Brunch. We were so happy you were able to find the time in your busy schedules, especially during Finals, to stop by and enjoy some great food, music, socializing, and of course, freebies and prizes!!
Congratulations to our 5 fabulous winners!! Abram Michail, Joshua Garcia, Azadeh Nadi, and Hazel Fronda were the lucky recipients of Visa and Grocery Store Gift Cards!! And the grand prize of the Thanksgiving basket, overflowing with lots of goodies, went to the lovely Estrella Valencia!
We enjoyed our time with you, and we want to wish all of our EOPS & CARE students a wonderful Thanksgiving!
EOPS CSUN Campus Tour - Fall 2022
Thank you to all of our EOPS students who joined us on the CSUN Campus Tour this fall. It was a great success, with lots of useful information gained along the way! We hope the tour helped some of our undecided students make that big decision, and gave a boost to those that are already confident CSUN is the right choice for them. It was a fun day which we hope to repeat in the near future.

This month we are celebrating lots of April holidays, including Good Friday, Easter, and Earth Day!
The end of this semester is approaching fast! If you haven’t yet done so, make sure you schedule your third and final EOPS counseling appointment. Our counselors are here to help make your academic goals a success!

This month we are happy to be celebrating Women's History Month, Mardi Gras, International Women's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Cesar Chavez Day and so much more!!
And of course, spring break will be here at AVC on March 7 to March 11! Enjoy your downtime! EOPS Counselors will be back on March 14.

EOPS will be at the Student Success Kickoff (SSK) on March 8, 9, and 10, from 10:45 am until 1:15 pm, on the Lancaster campus. If you are not yet a part of the EOPS program and would like to join, please stop by and see us!
Congratulations to AVC student, Jaelyn Walker, on winning a $25 Visa Gift Card!! All Jaelyn had to do was sign up to say she was interested in the EOPS program, and she was lucky enough to have her name drawn from those who signed up.

Soroptimist is holding a 'Dream It, Be It' event for young girls, aged 14 - 18, on March 5. Spread the word to any young girls you may know who would appreciate this great opportunity to help plan their future goals. The event is free, spaces are limited, and you don't have to be an AVC or EOPS student. Find more information on the flyer below.

Here's Just Some of What's Been Happening in EOPS & CARE During the Fall 2021 Semester
- Welcome Back/Giveaway: At the beginning of the semester EOPS & CARE welcomed returning and new students with snacks and backpacks full of everything you need for class. Backpacks were also given out throughout the fall semester.
- CARE students checked in with us in September via a virtual meet and greet, and soon after they were lucky enough to pick up a Costco Gas Card or Bus Pass along with a goody bag from EOPS, in our Gas Card Giveaway!
- Transfer Workshops (virtual) were held from September to November with the Transfer Center, assisting our students with the transfer process and application procedures to 4-year colleges, and providing helpful information on the EOP programs at CSU and UC schools. A CSUN EOP Workshop was also held in November with the CSUN Director of EOP.
- Eligible EOPS & CARE students received their Financial/Textbook Grants in October/November.
- CARE students took part in an Emergency Kit Demo (virtual) in November and were then able to pick up a very useful Emergency Kit for themselves.
- During Finals we held a Finals Week Resources Giveaway and handed out lots of useful supplies to help you make it through.
All EOPS & CARE Students are Winners! But this Fall Some of You were Even Bigger Winners!!
