From Incarceration to Higher Education: A Conversation with Brandon Baker
Brandon Baker

Author Brandon Baker will share his journey from incarceration to higher education during “Where I Belong: A Conversation on Resilience, Redemption, and Reclaiming Your Future” on Thursday, Oct. 15, at AVC's Performing Arts Theatre.

Baker, who studied at AVC while incarcerated, will share personal stories and read selections from his book, Where I Belong: From the Yard to the World: A Life Reclaimed. The conversation will explore how education, resilience, and a sense of belonging helped him reclaim his story and pursue his future.

Attendees can ask questions and meet Baker during a meet-and-greet and book signing following the presentation. The first 100 attendees will receive a free copy of his book. Refreshments will be served.

The event is free and open to students, employees, and community members.
