Antelope Valley College Theatre Arts is presenting a theatrical limited run of the Broadway comedy Latin History for Morons, a production written by comedian John Leguizamo.
STUDENT BIOS

River Acosta
River has enjoyed stage managing for Latin History for Morons! She is an aspiring actress, majoring in Theater Arts at Antelope Valley College, with her most recent project being a part of the 27th One Acts Festival (2024).

Anthony Amaro
Anthony is a Theater Arts major who finds enjoyment in helping create plays and helping people in the festival. He is excited to be a part of this show.

Sarah Balmoja
Sarah has great passion and dedication to theatre. She has experience in acting, costume design, and assistant directing. She has been in productions as an actor, such as The Phantom Tollbooth, Clue, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet. In addition, she has also been in productions as a costume designer and assistant director, such as AVC’s One Act Festivals, Pippin, and Vanya, Sonya, Masha and Spike. Sarah aspires to continue to explore different areas of theatre in the future, such as sound, lighting, and set design.

Serena Borroel
Serena is a Communications Studies major who has always had a special place in her heart for theatre. She has only performed for her high school drama showcases and is excited to be a part of Latin History for Morons!

Jennifer Contreras
Jennifer is a biology major who is interested in the arts. She has never been part of a production; but she is dedicated to LHFM. With a love and appreciation for the work placed into productions, she is excited to see the process and the result of everyone’s efforts.

Anthony Dakarmenjian
Anthony is a Theatre Arts major who is getting ready to graduate from AVC. He is ecstatic to both perform and assistant direct for this show. Anthony is proud and thankful for how much he has grown at this school and is excited for the next chapter in his life.

Serena Dunmeyer
Serena is a Theatre Arts major here at Antelope Valley College. You may have recently seen her in AVC Theatre’s 27th Annual One Acts Festival. She is very excited to perform again with the AVC community in her last show before graduating and transfering this fall!

Kalel Flax
Kalel is excited to be part of Latin History for Morons. With seven years of theatre experience and two years in set construction, he is passionate about bringing productions to life from behind the scenes. Though he has experience both on and off stage, he is leaning more into backstage roles, where he enjoys the technical and creative aspects of theatre. His most recent production was Romeo & Juliet, and he is thrilled to finally be working on something with his school and classmates. He thanks the cast, crew, and production team for their hard work and dedication.

Jacob Frankenberg
Jacob is an aspiring actor, majoring in INT/DFST (ASL interpreting). This is the first play he's officially worked on. Although he's never done anything acting related before he has always wanted to be an actor since he was a kid.

Max Gonzalez
Max is proud to be a part of the creative team for Latin History for Morons. As the scene dresser, Max plays a vital role in bringing the production's world to life, curating and managing the set's aesthetic elements with precision and care. With a passion for theater and an eye for detail, Max has worked on a few productions, normally being on the sidelines, but they are excited to have a bigger part to play on this show. Dedicated to supporting the artistic vision, Max is excited to contribute to the energy and humor of this unique show.

Andres Marino
Andres is very excited to be a part of Latin History for Morons.

Manolo Meza
Manolo Meza is a fellow Communication Studies major testing out his creative freedom as an actor through LHFM.

Carly Robinson Millan
Carly is a first-year Film major at Antelope Valley College. She directed John Lennon & Me in her junior year at Quartz Hill High School, was in Radium Girls in her senior year, and was a stage manager in many more! She is excited to help with backstage and props for the first time here and help out the crew!

Chrissy Patterson
Chrissy is a non-binary actor majoring in Theatre Arts at AVC, they have been acting since they were just a freshman. Their more recent projects being Head over Heels and “Dress Blues” in the AVC 27th One Acts Play Festival. They truly admire the direction Antelope Valley’s theatre community has been headed in with more diverse stories being told!

Jonathan Rangel
Jonathan is an aspiring actor and director, currently working towards his Theatre Arts degree. His most recent projects include Romeo & Juliet, The Laramie Project and Clue. Jonathan is honored and grateful to work with this cast and bring this show to the Antelope Valley.

Paulina Rivera
Paulina is a proud Chicana, AVC alumni and aspiring actress who excitedly came back to school to perform in AVC’s first Latinx driven show in years. You may have last seen her as Addaperle from The Wiz, Ms. Peacock from Clue or more recently as Lady Montague in Romeo and Juliet. She can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Andre Rodriguez
Andre is a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He is an aspiring actor who has done productions with Conundrum Theatre Co., Olive Branch Theatricals, Southern Broadway, Destiny Surrenders Productions, and NBC Universal. He also performs improv with LA Connection Comedy Theatre in Burbank. Andre continues to entertain around the AV and LA.

Avigail Ruiz
Avigail is a Theater Arts major at Antelope Valley College. She enjoys working both backstage and as an actor. She has collaborated in other show productions at AVC, such as Clue, One Acts Festival, and The Laramie Project.

Gabriela Sima
Gabby has been doing sound design in theater since highschool and is actively learning to become an audio engineer. She enjoys doing general backstage work but specializes in the technical side as well as construction. Gabby is currently co-stage managing for Starkid’s The Guy Who Doesn’t Musicals.

Ryan J Solano
Ryan is a dedicated actor, director, and stage combat choreographer. He was most recently seen as Dennis Shepard in The Laramie Project. His past productions include Romeo & Juliet (where he served as the stage combat choreographer), Clue, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and Rough Magic. Passionate about theatre, Ryan continues to work both on and off the stage as he continues his career in the arts.

Sarah De Luna Stallworth
Sarah is an aspiring actress, playwright, and screenwriter with a deep love for the stage and a strong passion for storytelling. She has showcased her talents in several productions at AVC, including the One Acts Festival, The Laramie Project, and Our Stories, Our Voices.
