River Acosta
River Acosta is excited to be working on the 28th One Act Festival at AVC! River has worked on shows throughout the Antelope Valley both on stage and behind the scenes, as she is studying to teach acting and technical theater.

Jorge Alvarez
Jorge is a film major currently at CSUN but also wants to peruse acting. He’s acted in a handful of student films and absolutely loves it. He would love to become a professional actor in the future. He is excited to do a play for the first time because he’s never done anything like it before. He wants the challenge and wants to step into a new and different environment.

Karen Arias
Karen is an actor and will pursue acting in the future. She's had this dream since she was little, she started in elementary too high school. She’s done plays like “Too many tamales,” “Christmas Carol,” “Door to Door” “Christmas Shorts," and “Haphazardly Ever After.” Acting isn’t just a passion, it’s a form of expression.

Ashley Augustus
Ashley is an actor who loves film and live theatre. She began acting in high school and has continued in college. Theatre has been a safe space for her to grow personally and professionally. She hopes to work as an actor professionally and share her stories through books.

Serena Borroel
Serena is an actor who has always had a passion for theater and acting. She was a part of AVCs production of Latin History for Morons and loved the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals. There is no place like the theater, and each show only makes her love it more.

Sasha Bowers
Sasha Bowers is performing in her first One Act and her second show at AVC, after playing Betty in The Crucible. She hopes to continue to be part of many more productions in the future.

Alise Brooks
Alise is an actor who has a big passion for performing. Alise started acting when she was in her freshman year of high school, and she instantly started to fall in love with it. The shows she did in high school include “Nightmare at Billingsgate Mansion” and “Clue”, plus 10 others. Alise has also done several shows with Justice Sunday for the city of Lancaster including “A Dream Deferred” and “Conception of Innovation”. Alise has loved theatre so much that she considers it her home, and she continues to pursue it at AVC.

Faith Burris
Faith is an aspiring actor and creative soul who loves everything about the arts. She’s new to theater and is already captivated by the magic of storytelling. She hopes to continue building her skills, exploring new creative paths, and inspiring others through her work.

Isabel Cortes
Isabel Cortes is a former AVC student, published author, and the host of the folklore podcast “Scary Stories for the Soul.” While at AVC she wrote the fashion column for the school newspaper. Her deep love of fashion and costume work began at a young age, when she studied the costumes for works like “Chicago,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” and “Bram Stoker’s Dracula.” She recently worked as the costumer for AVC’s production of “The Crucible.”

Sarah De Luna Stallworth
Sarah is best known as an actress and playwright at AVC’s Theatre. She has embraced taking on a new creative challenge— directing. Theatre is her outlet for creative expression and storytelling. It has the power to transform ideas into living art in hopes of connecting with and inspiring audiences.

Spencer Feldman
Spencer is an amateur actor who’s dabbled in both the on- and off-stage theatre work. His previous experience includes playing Plankton in a production of the Sponge Bob Musical at a high school that no one has ever heard of. He’s only lived in the Antelope Valley for six months, so this is his first show with AVC, but he’s very excited to return to his one true love, which is making a fool of himself on stage.

Kaitlyn Franco
Kaitlyn is an actress that was curious about acting and is excited to gain more experience and knowledge about the acting industry. She has worked with the cast of “The Crucible” getting their costumes assigned, her seeing the cast working and practicing has inspired her on auditing for The One Acts 2025.

Andrew Frankenberg
Andrew is an aspiring theater student with a passion for the arts, He is always excited to take on a new role in theater be it as an actor or tech crew. He helped bring the 27th one act festival to life and is excited to be back here helping with the 28th.

Diego Alzaga Mariscal
Andrew is an aspiring theater student with a passion for the arts, He is always excited to take on a new role in theater be it as an actor or tech crew. He helped bring the 27th one act festival to life and is excited to be back here helping with the 28th.

Heaven Moody
Heaven is an actor who fell in love with acting during covid. It was not her first choice, but she is glad she made a switch for her career. She has not been in a lot of plays, but she plans to do movies, shows, and to go on Broadway and win awards.

Masette Samwire Mungoma
Masette is an actor who is working on improving his craft for film acting by undergoing numerous acting classes and plays. He started off not knowing what he wanted to as a career for years, until acting suddenly piqued his interest and has been his sole goal since.

Faye Nguyen
Faye, a 64-year-old grandmother who is also a theatre arts major; returned to school to improve on her memory, she has always loved the excitement of the theatre, from the first moment she saw “The Bad Seed.” She has done television in 2018 and filmed for “Justice with Judge Mablean”. This will be her first time performing live on stage, as well as being a crew member for the shows’ production.

Cyn Esparza Ortiz
Cyn is a creative and dedicated theater artist who loves storytelling, keeping the show running smoothly, and supporting the cast and crew behind the scenes. From working with previous productions; The Crucible, she enjoys working in a collaborative environment as each production strengthens her creativity, leadership and love for theater.

Lindsey Pruitt
Lindsey has been a theater artist for as long as she can remember. She believes in telling powerful stories whether they are funny or very, very real. She recently directed an adaptation of Sophocles Antigone that explored themes of social justice, survival, and government power. All stories deserve to be heard.

Jonathan Rangel
Jonathan is an aspiring educator and actor in the Antelope Valley. He has multiple years of theater experience and excited for his AVC directorial debut. Most recently, Jonathan performed the role of “John” in Latin History for Morons by John Leguizamo where he was nominated for the Irene Ryan in the Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival. Jonathan is grateful and honored to have been selected to direct one of AVC’s one act plays.

Paulina Rivera
Paulina has performed in several community theatre shows in the Antelope Valley and has acted as a litigant in the TV Show, “The Verdict with Judge Hatchett”. Most recently she portrayed multiple characters in John Leguizamo’s Latin History for Morons where she has been nominated for the Irene Ryan within the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

Rocko Rivera
Rocko is an actor and part of stage crew In Antelope valley college. He has had four years of theatre experience from school and was a part of “The Crucible” as “John Willard”. Im glad to be part of this production thank you for having me.

Ruben Rodriguez
Ruben is a SFX makeup artist who loves cosplaying and doing fun makeup looks. He enjoys bringing characters to life by stirring up fun looks to bring a story to life. Previously worked on The Crucible as the running crew, he enjoys helping get the show going.

Izzy Sanchez
Izzy Sanchez is a Salvadoran actress from Lancaster, CA. She was recently nominated for the Irene Ryan award for her performance as Abigail Williams in The Crucible with AVC. Her past credits include Enticed: A Dream Deferred and Conception of Innovation with the Justice Sunday Alumni Association at the LPAC. Eastside High School credits include: Macbeth (Macbeth), Clue (Wadsworth), Space Odyssey (Vidic), A Lighter Shade of Noir (Jean Louis Philippe Eustache), and more! Izzy is excited to make her debut in The One-Act Play Festival 2025.

Alisa Sima
Beginning in 2014, Alisa continues to enjoy theatre and bringing the community together. Outside of her preschool paraeducator position, Alisa has worked with AVC in past productions such as Clue (Telegram Singing Girl), The Phantom Tollbooth (Tock), Rough Magic (Melanie Porter), and Patchwork (Organza), and now her first time in the One Acts!
Gabriela Sima
Gabby is a sound engineer who loves working on live shows both in and out of the Antelope Valley. Some favorite plays she’s done includes Starkid’s The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals and Avc’s production of Latin History for Morons. Look forward to her next production Twisted at The Main!

Ryan J. Solano
Ryan J. Solano is a dedicated actor, director, and stage combat choreographer. He was most recently seen as Dennis Shepard in The Laramie Project. His past productions include Romeo and Juliet (where he served as stage combat choreographer), Rough Magic, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and Clue. Passionate about theater, Ryan continues to work both on and off the stage as he continues his career in the arts.

Kayla Stewart
Kayla is an artistic person who wants to continue doing art for the world. Theater showed a new world to her during the productions of The Crucible, and now she wants to support her cast and crew and see them succeed. To her, “There is no art like human art.”

Ruth Velazquez
Ruth is an AVC alum with a Bachelor’s in Spanish and Deaf Studies. Currently an educator for special education, Ruth is pursuing her creative boundaries on stage with the play Dear Paulie.

Kristy Archie
Kristy serves as the lightboard operator and designer for the festival, ensuring precise and dynamic lighting for each performance. Her technical proficiency enhances the visual storytelling on stage. Additionally, Kristy manages the production’s social media presence, promoting engagement and showcasing the artistry of the event to a broader audience.
