Clearway Energy Donation Supports AVC Racing Club, Auto Body Program
Antelope Valley College's Marauder Racing Club and Auto Body Program Members

Antelope Valley College's Marauder Racing Club and Auto Body Program received a $500 donation from Clearway Energy during a presentation Thursday, March 26, in the college's Autobody Lab.

Representatives from Clearway Energy, Paul Escobar, Gabe Bressler and Matt Horn, presented the donation to support student learning and hands-on training opportunities within the program.

The AVC Auto Body Program provides students with real-world experience in vehicle repair, fabrication and performance, including work on the college's race car. Students also train using a state-of-the-art racing simulator that replicates real track conditions, offering a preview of what drivers like AVC Racing Club instructor Alfred Brubaker will experience on the track.

“This kind of support makes a direct impact on our students,” said AVC Superintendent/President Jennifer Zellet, who attended the presentation. “It helps expand opportunities and gives students access to the tools and experiences they need to succeed.”

Donations like Clearway Energy's contribution help sustain and grow programs that connect classroom learning with industry experience, preparing students for careers in the automotive field.
