presentations:

“Festina Lente: Slow, Steady, Mighty Roman Ox”

American Classical League Convention, Memphis, Tennessee, June 2013.

“Civilizing with Ox, Yoke, and Plow: Agrarianism through the Classics in the New World”

American Classical League Convention, Williamsburg, VA, June 2014.

My outside interest is research around the history of the working ox. The ox was the primary tractor, truck, and bulldozer until mechanization: the contributions of this important animal should not be forgotten.
